After
Tony graduated from The University of Hull in 1983, with his Bachelor
of Science in Mathematical Studies he started working for the National
& Provincial Building Society as a Computer Operator and Systems Developer.
After four years he went travelling
around Canada and the U.S., finally landing a job in Bermuda, where
he redesigned, specified and wrote an accounting, inventory and
stock control system for a wholesale food distributors.
In 1992 he moved to Brisbane, Australia, where he set up his own
IT consultancy business. In a 7 year period his main clients included
- National Transport Insurance,
Suncorp-Metway
Bank, The Queensland Industry Development Corporation (now part
of Suncorp-Metway Bank), (Queensland) Public Trustees Office and
The Cedar Creek company.
In 1997 he started writing scripts to interrogate Access database systems, using Active Server page
technology.
On returning to the UK in 1999, he began working for Unisys in Leeds
